Oxford VR at the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit

Oxford VR is proud to announce that we will be demonstrating at The Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit in London on the 9th of October.

The Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit is designed to encourage interest in mental health, examining the impact on people’s lives and showcasing innovation.

Oxford VR will be demonstrating our fear of heights programme, which is the first automated VR psychological therapy.

The summit will bring together speakers to discuss mental health services, stigma and discrimination in mental health, mental health research and much more. You can follow on a live stream  here.

You can also get involved via social media by following NHS England on Twitter and using the hashtag GlobalMHSummit.

I love it when I have a vision for the future and then see it being made reality some time later. When I first tried VR o knew there would be a future clinical application like this. Would be great to see other phobias/fears difficult to treat in the real world targeted (fear of flying, emetophobia, post accident travel anxiety etc). The virtual clinic and assessment is a fantastic idea and something I wanted to trial in my private practice. I’d love to learn more about this fantastic innovation.
